We saw The Iron Lady today. I think we were the only people under 50 years old in the theater… but that may have been because we saw it at 1pm. Obviously, Meryl Streep was brilliant and I loved her acting, but I didn’t think the movie did a very good job at painting Margaret Thatcher as the strong, history-making woman that she was. I left the theater with a feeling that Margaret Thatcher, the first female Prime Minister of England, was a senile, regretful old woman. Bummer, I was excited about that movie.
